The free plan is a real plan: your profile, your estimates, the guides, and 10 advisor questions a month never sit behind a card. Paid plans differ in four things: how much you can ask the advisor, which model answers, what a claim check costs you, and which dashboard sections you unlock.

Have a question about any of this?
Ask the advisor. It's an AI that teaches you how insurance actually works in plain English: what a coverage does, what a word on your policy means, and what happens next. Nobody is trying to sell you a policy at the end of it.
Every account gets 10 questions a month, free. They come back on the 1st.
- What does an umbrella policy actually cover?
- How does a deductible work on a homeowners claim?
- What is an adjuster allowed to ask me for?
Think you've been lowballed? That's a separate $25.
One charge, one time, for one claim — never a percentage of what you recover.
A plan brings it down: $10 on Bronze, $5 on Silver, free on Gold. The report is identical whatever you pay.
The usual way
- Public adjuster10 to 15%
of your payout: the more you recover, the more they take.
- Attorney~⅓
of your settlement: a large, permanent cut of what you win.
The Koala way
$10 on Bronze · $5 on Silver · free on Gold
You keep every dollar you recover. Koala never takes a percentage of a settlement, because Koala never touches your settlement.

Everything worth knowing before you start a claim.
What do I get for free?
Your profile, your insurance cost estimates with the full methodology behind every number, all of the guides, and 10 advisor questions a month that refresh on the 1st. That is the free plan rather than a trial period, and it stays free.
What does a paid plan add?
More advisor questions, and a stronger model answering them. The advisor itself isn't paywalled: every account gets 10 questions a month. A plan is what you buy when that isn't enough: Bronze is 50 questions per billing period, Silver 150 on a stronger model, and Gold is unlimited on Koala's strongest. Plans bill every 3 months, and each tier also cuts the claim check price.
Is the advisor a real person?
No. The advisor is an AI. It is not a lawyer, an insurance agent, or a broker, and it won't advise you on a specific legal dispute. It explains how the system works so you can make your own decisions.
What is the claim check, and why is it priced separately?
The claim check is a one-time charge that analyses one claim: Koala reads your documents, compares your insurer's offer against real settlements, rates the lowball risk, and drafts a demand letter. It's separate because it's a different job from teaching you how insurance works, and most people never need it. It's $25 on its own, $10 on Bronze, $5 on Silver, and included at no charge on Gold. Every claim check gets the same analysis whatever you paid for it.
Do you ever take a cut of my settlement?
Never. A public adjuster typically takes 10% to 15% of your payout and an attorney can take a third. The claim check is the same $25 whether your claim settles for $2,000 or $200,000. Every extra dollar you recover stays with you.
Is it really free right now?
Yes. Koala is free while in beta, so you won't be charged today. The prices shown are what plans and the claim check will cost once beta ends.
Is Koala a law firm or a substitute for legal advice?
No. Koala is an educational tool and a claims advocacy tool, not a law firm, and it doesn't provide legal advice. Reports, demand letters, and advisor answers are for informational purposes only, and results vary from claim to claim.
